چکیده
Abstract The aim of this study was developed by a simple method including solution mixing cellulose acetate/sodium alginate containing laponite (CA/SA-LAP) hydrogel composites with flexible mechanical, physical, and biological properties for wound healing application. surface the as-prepared CA/SA CA/SA-LAP were characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) x-ray Diffraction (XRD). influence LAP content (0.1, 0.2, 0.5 wt%), swelling ratio (171.0 ± 7.0, 143.0 4.0, 96.6 2.5), degradation rate (65.7 4.0%, 49.0 5.5%, 19.4 1.4%), mechanical elongation at break from 68.3 6.0% to 148.3 5.6%, morphology investigated. By increasing concentration an average pore size diameter decreased 300 μ m 225 m, 150 75 m. dressing has designated good antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli bacteria 95.9 4.0% 98.4 1.5% 24 h 92.3 4.5% 96.4 3.5% 48 h. BACKGROUND Determining whether systemic corticosteroids impair wound healing is a clinically relevant topic that has important management implications. METHODS We reviewed literature on the effects of corticosteroids on wound healing from animal and human studies searching MEDLINE from 1949 to 2011. RESULTS Some animal studies show a 30% reduction in wound tensile strength with perioperativ...

Background: Today, the use of maggot therapy has become widespread due to the increase in chronic ulcers in the world. The recombinant production of secreted enzymes from these larvae is a novel non-invasive method for the treatment of chronic ulcers. Lucilia sericata (L. sericata) collagenase (MMP-1) has been expressed in insect cells. Collagenase is an enzyme that is widely used in clinical t...
